Graduate Design Engineer - Permanent
This is a new permanent position for a graduate design engineer to join our Engineering Services Division.
We are looking for a graduate with an aptitude for mechanical design to work as part of the Applied Engineering Services team
Applied Engineering Services aims to support and compliment our clients own design and engineering capabilities by providing additional highly skilled CATIA CAD literate design and engineering resources.
The successful candidate will become and integral part of the team responsible for the complete Design and Development of products from concept through to design release.
The candidates will require a strong investigative and analytical focus coupled with personal initiative and drive. Training will be provided for the specific tools used.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer to expand his or her experience and technical expertise.
The successful candidate will possess several of the following:
· Degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
· Proven ability on CATIA V5, design and modeling of parts.
· Preferably with 1+ years minimum engineering experience
· IT literate – Microsoft Word, Excel etc
· Ability to interpret and understand 2D Engineering drawings, preparation of drawing packs for vendors.
· Familiar with design using CAD, standard drawing practice.
· Experience with FEA would be beneficial.
· Creative problem solving ability
· Passion for new product developments and manufacture
· Thorough attention to detail and consistent quality in all stages of the Design Process
· Excellent communication (written and verbal) plus collaboration skills.
· Motivation, initiative, high energy and responsible.
