Established in 1998 Applied have been delivering product innovation, development and information management solutions to key engineering and manufacturing businesses for more than a decade.
At the heart of Applied's 3D digital design solutions is the digital 3D product design, definition, development and simulation software portfolio. Over the past 10 years CATIA V5 has been the leading 3D product design solution of choice for the Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Rail, Energy, Marine, Consumer Goods and Industrial Equipment sectors. CATIA V6 is the next generation of the CATIA 3D product design portfolio, offering new and unparalleled levels of integration and lifelike simulation and user engagement. Applied is one of the UK's leading suppliers of CATIA software solutions, training and support services.
A series of packages have been defined to enhance functionality in the following areas:
- CATIA Mechanical Design Solutions
- CATIA Shape Design Solutions
- CATIA Equipment & Systems Design Solutions
- CATIA Product Analysis Solutions
- CATIA Product Review Solutions
- CATIA Product Manufacturing Solutions
At the heart of Applied's digital manufacturing simulation solutions is the DELMIA suite of software technologies. DELMIA provides entire digital solutions for on-demand and just-in-time manufacturing processes, allowing manufacturers to bring their products to market more quickly, while reducing production costs and encouraging innovation. DELMIA's digital manufacturing solutions allow manufacturing organisations to design and visualise the entire production process for a digitally specified product before deploying any physical materials and machines. They integrate closely with CATIA design solutions, as well as with ENOVIA data management and collaborative work solutions to deliver substantial benefits to customers deploying PLM. Businesses using DELMIA in conjunction with these solutions can increase opportunities for collaboration, reuse, and collective innovation throughout the product lifecycle.
At the heart of Applied's digital product documentation solutions is the 3DVIA Composer software technology. With its easy-to-use, desktop content-creation system, 3DVIA Composer effectively automates processes that are crucial for improving quality and reducing the time it takes to produce high quality documentation. Before 3DVIA Composer, the deliverable production process was a costly, error-prone process which had to be repeated, usually from the start, for any product change. Now, by using 3DVIA Composer, enterprises can quickly and easily automate their deliverable production processes while reducing costs and improving quality. 3DVIA Composer allows production of product documentation to be concurrent with the design of the product. 3DVIA Composer is designed to make product information available everywhere. With 3DVIA Composer you can deliver product information in exactly the right form to the right person at the right time, enterprises' investments in CAD, PLM, ERP and CRM are enhanced to deliver more value. With 3DVIA Composers XML-based, CAD-independent architecture, products are delivered faster, with higher quality and at lower cost.
At the heart of Applied's Product Lifecycle Management solutions is the ENOVIA software portfolio from Dassault Systemes. ENOVIA is the only PLM platform that delivers a production proven SOA architecture for driving collaborative innovation. ENOVIA solutions link enterprise and multi-discipline engineering users, enabling everyone to work within "a single version of the truth." The ENOVIA portfolio offers industry solutions for the enterprise and small to mid-market.
Companies today rely on global product development teams to drive high-quality products to market faster, and at a lower cost, more than ever before. To achieve this with limited resources, companies need to tightly align the design-related activities between development teams, suppliers, and customers. Such coordination is critical to the product-development process. ENOVIA applications can be used across many industries to allow companies to keep geographically dispersed teams connected through access to real-time data and business processes. The ENOVIA V6 environment is organised by 'domain', which represent a logical grouping of products based on the problems that they are intended to address. All products across these domains are built with the same compatible technology and can be deployed together as part of a single ENOVIA V6 system.
At the heart of Applied's product simulation solutions is the SIMULIA portfolio. At the heart of SIMULIA is Abaqus. The Abaqus Unified FEA product suite offers powerful and complete solutions for both routine and sophisticated engineering problems covering a vast spectrum of industrial applications. In the automotive industry engineering work groups are able to consider full vehicle loads, dynamic vibration, multibody systems, impact/crash, nonlinear static, thermal coupling, and acoustic-structural coupling using a common model data structure and integrated solver technology. Best-in-class companies are taking advantage of Abaqus Unified FEA to consolidate their processes and tools, reduce costs and inefficiencies, and gain a competitive advantage.
Abaqus / CAE. Increase your efficiency by using this intuitive, highly-customisable user interface for modelling, meshing, and visualisation.
Abaqus / Standard. Leverage implicit solutions and a range of contact and nonlinear material options for static, dynamics, thermal, and multiphysics analyses.
Abaqus / Explicit. Use the explicit method for high-speed, nonlinear, transient response and multiphysics applications. Appropriate for many applications such as drop test, crushing and manufacturing processes.
Abaqus / CFD. Coupling with Abaqus/Standard or Abaqus/Explicit for Fluid-Structure Interaction and Conjugate Heat Transfer; Incompressible (transient or steady flows); Turbulence modelling.
Add-on Tools. Extend Abaqus capabilities to address specialized applications such as PCB Modelling, Crash Dummy Models, Filament Wound Composites, and Durability Prediction.
Adobe LiveCycle Enterprise Suite software can help you extend the value of existing back-end systems by enabling developers to build and deploy applications quickly and easily, and by empowering business users to manage application environments based on their specific needs. With LiveCycle, you can make it easier for people to interact with information through intuitive user experiences, improved efficiencies through business process automation, and enhanced customer service through personalized communications management.
Using the Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management module, you can increase your team's productivity and systematically lower the risk of sensitive information getting into the wrong hands. Protect critical information, improve your regulatory compliance posture, protect business processes, and extend the collaboration sphere to enable critical communications.
Key capabilities
- Proactively protect confidential data or other sensitive information from being leaked outside the organization.
- Restrict confidential information internally to only certain individuals.
- Enable more secure collaboration to improve supply chain communication.
- Improve compliance with industry regulations or standards.
aPriori is a product designed to be used by people throughout your company, requires very little training to become proficient, and provides a cost estimate in real-time simply by opening a 3D CAD design, picking the type of manufacturing process from a drop down menu, entering the volume of production, and selecting the virtual factory that will be used to generate the cost. Groups that would find great value in using aPriori include:
- Design Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Manufacturing Process Planning
- Cost Estimation, Value Analysis/Value Engineering
- Purchasing, Procurement, Sourcing
- Program and Project Management
The aPriori Product Cost Management software platform unlocks this hidden economic opportunity by providing product cost visibility and by answering cost questions early and continuously during the product development and production delivery process. By answering these cost questions in real-time, aPriori enables users to quickly understand the cost consequences of their design, manufacturing or sourcing decisions, and find the least expensive solution while meeting their various functional requirements. Users are still free to make their own decisions; aPriori is simply answering the very difficult question of what is the cost impact of each decision they make.
